NEW FOODS

So, once again I'm playing catch up with my posts. I decided to just make one post of his newest foods. We have been having lots of fun trying out all kinds of things - he now eats: rice cereal, oatmeal, prunes, bananas, applesauce, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, chicken, apple joice and for the first time today - bread (which I don't have the pictures downloaded yet) Anyway, he makes some of the funniest faces when he tries something new and we have to be careful about not laughing too much. When he first tried peas he made the funniest face and my dad started laughing hysterically (of course then Jaxon makes that face just about every time Grandpa is around when he is eating LOL!!)

Very satisfied after his prunes. Looks like mommy wasn't too good with her aim!

Next we were on to bananas - definitely one of his favorites!

Then applesauce - another favorite!

Green beans....not really sure - he actuall still does not care for green beans, we can only get him to eat just a little bit.

And most recently - chicken. I must say that this smells the worst out of all the baby foods that he has had. He didn't care for it at first, but after 1 week, he actually likes it now (or at least will tolerate it until it's time for applesauce or bananas!!)
I also love to see the progression in these food pictures. We have been starting a new food about every week and it's so fun to see how much he changes from week to week. He is beginning to seem like such a big boy.

First Long Trip

During the week of April 12 - 16th we travelled to Olympia for a training course for work. Jaxon and Daddy had lots of great adventures while I attended my classes during the day. Jaxon is such a great traveller and slept the entire way over (with just one quick diaper change and bottle in Ellensburg) he stayed right on his routine each day and was in a great mood - even while teething. We explored most all of the city including lots of great parks, the State Capitol, Cabella's, great restaurants and driving through some little towns with great scenery. I have posted lots of pictures of our trip below. The week ended with my 31st birthday, and we went to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. I think Jaxon thought the animals were real, but they didn't scare him at all, he just stared in amazement. It was a great week for all of us. Although I could have done without some of the days of class and more time with the boys, they had a great week together exploring Olympia and the surrounding area.

Birthday!

The Rainforest Cafe has lots of great things to look at! Jaxon loved it.

Playinbg patty cake with Mommy, he love this right now!

Hanging out at the table with Daddy.

Checking out the colorful fish! I don't think he quite knew what to think.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Another Day at the Park in Lacey, WA

Washington State Capitol

Jaxon and Daddy on a tour of the State Capitol. Jaxon was very attentive and listened to the tour guide the entire time, didn't even make a peep - just listened and learned!!

Excited to be spending the day with Daddy.

A little worn out from the adventure!

Beautiful view of the capitol from a park downtown.

Extremely tired at the end of the day. All that learning made him sleepy!!

First Time on Playground Equipment, Lacey, WA

First time on the slide - with Mom's help of course!

A different slide.

Now with Dad!

He sure loves his Daddy!

Now trying out the swings. He wasn't sure at first, but then he loved it!!! We definitely need to get him one for our back yard! That would be hours of fun.
