Visit to Santa 2010

The first weekend in December we took Jaxon to RiverPark Square Downtown to visit Santa. Before meeting Santa we went on a horse and carriage ride around downtown which was lots of fun (freezing cold, but fun) Then we went inside to meet Santa. We didn't know that it was pet night, so it was really crowded and we had to wait about 45 minutes, Jaxon didn't mind though because of all the dogs (he loves dogs!) It was the same Santa from last year and Jaxon didn't seem scared at all which was great. Our official photo that we purchased he was even smiling in! It was so fun when we got home to compare the pictures from last year and this year - wow he has grown so much in 1 year.

Eating at Red Robin afterwards - he loves balloons...unlike his mommy at that age ;-)

Having fun on the horse and carriage ride with mommy, daddy, Aunt Heidi & Grandpa.

It was a beautiful (and really cold) night for a ride around downtown.

Telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas. (Santa told us that he said he wanted a truck) That is actually what finally got him to smile - Santa started talking about trucks and Jaxon smiled long enough for the photographer to get a good smiling shot!

Christmas Tree Hunt 2010

Ready for the adventure!

We took our annual trip up to Dietz Christmas Tree Farm at Greenbluff to search for just the right Christmas tree. Jaxon was on his sled and we were ready for a great afternoon!

He was great at pointing out the trees that he liked.

Tipped over a few times - he thought that was quite funny! It was kind of hard to keep him from tipping on the trails that were there.

"How about this one, it's more my size?"

Thanksgiving 2010

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our usual tradition of having the Thompson family at our house. A little smaller group this year, but we were blessed with great food, great company and lots of great memories (as always)! I love holiday traditions and my Thanksgiving holidays wouldn't be complete without a few things: Debbie's turkey, scalloped corn, Grandma Thompson, little kids with olives on every finger and of course looking through the Black Friday sales ads and planning our route! Here are a few pictures from our great day!

Debbie and her masterpiece.

Jaxon trying scalloped corn for the first time (Mommy's favorite!)

Jaxon and Emma relaxing in his chair after dinner - or lunch I guess, our family always eats really early - at 1:00PM, so I guess we should call it lunch :-)

Here are the olives on the fingers - always a tradition imagine how many olives we went through when all 13 of us cousins were there together!!

Great Grandma and Jaxon relaxing!

Sledding on Thanksgiving

We had a great time on Thanksgiving with the snow. It has been a long time since we had enough snow on Thanksgiving to go sledding. So we bundled up the kids and took them out front to go "sledding" (or being pulled on the sled down the sidewalk) they had a great time!

All bundled up and ready to go outside, he loves playing in the snow!
I'm ready!
