Jaxon's 3rd Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is always full of family, food and traditions for our family. We hosted at our house again this year with the Thompson side of my family. We had all of our usual traditions, turkey, scalloped corn, etc. etc. It was so nice spending time with everyone. It was a double holiday for us this year, because my dad's birthday happened to fall on Thanksgiving too, so we celebrated with candles in the pumpkin pie :-) Here are a few photos of Jaxon on Thanksgiving at our house.

Another Thompson tradition - LOTS and LOTS of olives! Jaxon got into this year for the first time when James (my cousin's husband) showed him the art of putting them on all of your fingers, he loved it. Any time we have olives now he always does this and always tells us "like James!" Too funny!

About ready to dive in to the delicious food.

Asleep in his high chair after dinner, don't we all usually feel like this?? :-)

First Time Bowling!

We took Jaxon bowling in the first part of November and boy did he have a BLAST! I was a little nervous at first about him carrying his own ball himself, but he would pick it up from the ball return, march down to the end of the lane, and push it down, and then stand or squat there yelling "go,go,go" - we had the bumpers up, which made it nice for him, but his ball went so slowly that it took us about an hour and a half for one game!!

Halloween Night 2011

First stop of the night was GGPa and GGMa's house. Jaxon was thrilled to get candy for his bucket. (These pictures are especially priceless to us now, as Jaxon's GGPa passed away suddenly on November 17th. It was a very rough time for our family. He is greatly missed!!)

On his way up to Aunt Heidi's house.

Ready for more treats.

Family photo.

After our two stops for trick or treating we went back home to hand out candy. This was definitely a highlight of the night as Jaxon got soooo excited whenever the doorbell would ring and he got to pass out more candy. He loved seeing all of the costumes!!

Fall Football

Hanging out on the sidelines, cheering on the team. Some of the games were early in the morning and very cold for October!

Cudding with Aunt Heidi or "Abu" as he calls her :-)

Jaxon with the team - just one of the boys!

Jason played in a flag football team for the first time this fall. It was sponsored by our work, so it was lots of fun! The games were on Sundays and all games were held at the new Joe Albi complex (Dwight Merckel) We had a blast going to the games and cheering them on. Jaxon absolutely loved watching them and still asks almost every weekend if we are either going to a softball game or a football game!

Carving Pumpkins

Ready to get started.

Hmmmm...not quite sure about the gooey stuff inside.

Halloween Party at School

Jaxon has really begun to enjoy his days at North Wall. He is in the toddler class, which is 1.75 year olds to 3 year olds. His teacher's names are Karen and Jenn, they are always creating fun and exciting things for the kids to do. He has learned many social skills, including how to sit "criss cross applesauce", how to put his coat on by himself, how to be a little more independent with handwashing, eating his lunch, etc. These are a few pictures from their halloween party. Jaxon was a dog this year, I might be a little biased, but I think he had the cutest costume.

Not the greatest picture, but trying to get this many toddlers to stand still and smile at the same time was quite the challenge :-)

Our cute little dog. Getting ready to go trick or treating at the other classrooms.

Time to catch up...

It's hard to believe that I haven't posted anything since the beginning of December. It seems like time flies faster and faster the older Jaxon gets. We had a wonderful holiday season and start to 2012. I will try and catch up with posting pictures from all of our adventures over the last three months.
